UmKA-1 is an orbital telescope designed by scholars and specialists of School №29 in Podolsk.

From the first hours in orbit, UmKA-1 was escorted by Mission Control Center, located in Podolsk school. On the same day specialists received the first telemetry. 

The project team also received e-mails from radio amateurs from all over the world who also received UmKA-1 telemetry data and  wishes for success in the mission! As a sign of appreciation, they were sent special electronic "postcards" – QSL cards that confirm the received signal from the cubesat.

The orbiting telescope still undergo a number of tests and experiments, and the project participants lookforward to the first full-fledged image directly on the telescope camera.
