The team of LLC «Engineering Center of the National Research University «BelSU» has developed a module with lilac sprouts. It will allow scientists to study the state of sprouts in space flight conditions.
The device contains 4 lilac sprouts of the Great Victory variety, which are in a special nutrient module. To monitor the plant, the module has a camera and sensors that determine the parameters of the environment. All information received during communication sessions is sent to the control center.
The lilac sprout of the Great Victory variety has become the most remote living plant from planet Earth (a record for Russia). On August 16, 2022, the maximum calculated distance in the apogee of the orbit was recorded - 530.118 km above sea level.
