It receives navigation data from ships. The collected information from the spacecraft is transmitted to ground stations and processed.&nbsp;The satellites are controlled by the Mission Control Centers of the <a href="https://miem.hse.ru/en/uvpmiem/lab/ka/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">HSE MIEM</a> and SPUTNIX. With the help of the SC, you can track and adjust the routes of ships, including along the Northern Sea Route.&nbsp;A MEPhI plasma engine is installed on the satellite. Engineers of the company «NILAKT DOSAAF» (Kaluga) and students of the «Engineering Boarding Lyceum» KNITU-KAI worked on its creation. Students and employees of the Institute of Radioelectronics, Photonics and Digital Technologies of KNITU-KAI took part in the creation of the payload.&nbsp;KAI-1 records the meteorological situation and conducts remote sensing. The CubeSat carries out synchronous shooting from five cameras and transmits the images to the ground complex. In the future, the images will make a panorama of the space around the satellite.
